Golden Ashwagandha Moon Milk
A warm, soothing night-time drink to help you wind down — with MM Cape Town ashwagandha powder.
This golden moon milk is a calming evening ritual: warm milk (or a plant-milk alternative), a pinch of spice, and a scoop of adaptogenic ashwagandha. Gently sweet, lightly spiced, and perfect before bed.
Ingredients (1 mug)
- 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond or coconut)
- ½ tsp MM Cape Town Ashwagandha Powder
- ¼ tsp ground turmeric
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Pinch of black pepper (helps absorb turmeric)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Method
- Warm the milk in a small pot over low heat — do not boil.
- Whisk in the ashwagandha, turmeric, ginger and black pepper until smooth.
- Remove from heat, stir in honey and vanilla.
- Pour into a mug and let it sit for a minute to cool slightly.
- Sip slowly as part of your wind-down routine.
Can I make it vegan?
Yes — use oat, almond or coconut milk and swap honey for maple syrup.
When should I drink it?
Most people enjoy it 30–60 minutes before bed as part of a calming routine.
Can I add other powders?
A small pinch of moringa or maca blends well. Start with small amounts to find your taste.
