Recipe
Maca Cacao Energy Balls
No-bake, 10-minute energy bites with oats, dates and MM Cape Town maca powder.
🍫
These little bites are sweet from dates, earthy from cacao and maca, and ready in one bowl. Great for lunchboxes, hikes, or an afternoon pick-me-up.
Tip: If the mixture is too sticky to roll, chill it for 15 minutes first. Too dry? Add a splash of plant milk.

- 2 tbsp cacao powder

- Blend until the mixture clumps together when pressed.
- Roll into bite-sized balls with your hands.
- Roll in coconut if using, and chill for 20 minutes to firm up.
Snack smart with MM Cape Town.
How long do they keep?
In an airtight container in the fridge, about a week. You can also freeze them.
Can I swap the nut butter?
Yes — almond, peanut or sunflower seed butter all work. Use seed butter for a nut-free version.
What does maca taste like?
Earthy and slightly malty, a little like malted barley. The cacao and dates balance it well.
